Full Professorship in Number Theory
The University of Bayreuth invites applications for a Full Professorship
in Number Theory. The official (German) advertisement can be found

At the faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science of the University
of Bayreuth, a
Full Professorship (Chair, W3) for Mathematics (Number Theory)
is available from April 1st, 2010.
Requirements:
- Research at a top international level in an area of number theory
of current interest, with high potential for future development,
- Potential for close cooperation with the existing groups in Computer
Algebra/Algorithmic Arithmetic Geometry and in Algebraic and Complex
Geometry.
The duties of the chair include teaching at all levels in mathematics
(including teaching of future teachers and service teaching).
Formal requirements:
- First academic degree, doctorate, habilitation or equivalent scientific
achievements, age under 52 (for eligibility as a civil servant (Beamter);
I assume employee status is always possible).
