Title: Superelliptic curves with large Galois images

Abstract: 
In 1972, Serre proved his famous 'Open Image Theorem' for non-CM elliptic curves. Since then work has focused on analogues for higher dimensional abelian varieties with trivial endomorphism ring. The results varying in explicitness. In this talk we present an explicit large image result for superelliptic jacobians.
